3 Mobile's iPhone 3GS - don't buy it?

3 Mobile, now part of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA), has finally acquired the right to sell the iPhone 3G S in its portfolio of phones, but unless 3 Mobile has a super deal that seriously undercuts Vodafone, why would you buy an iPhone from 3?

Andrew expands China operations

CommScope subsidiary, wireless communications company Andrew, has expanded its operations in China with the completion of a manufacturing plant and distribution centre in the province of Suzhou.

Vodafone will turn on 3G services in a number of regional centres on 1 May taking its 3G voice and data coverage to around 80 percent of the population ahead of a scheduled provision of 3G services to 94 percent by the end of August.

3 has made good on its promise to provide its customers with 3G roaming onto the Telstra Next G network.

Last week I spilled the beans Telstra were about to announce new shared data plans for their range of NextG modems. This is a major plus for business users seeking to control costs but yet provide their workforce with mobile working options. The pricing has now been announced.

Vodafone almost ready to switch on 3G network
